Nixolline – full name Nikola Halabuková (*1994) is an abstract artist from Czech Republic, more precisely from Liberec whose work is based on an intuitive approach: her paintings are created as an immediate reaction to the moment and to the state of mind and body – “she paints as she feels.”

In her work, she combines abstraction with expressive gestures. She enjoys working with contrasts – connecting rawness with fragility, spontaneous chaos with inner order. Symbolic signs and visual metaphors appear in her paintings, opening up space for personal interpretation – sometimes fragile, other times intense, but always authentic. Nikol lets her motifs flow between worlds, reality and imagination, searching for ways to visualize thoughts and moments that are difficult to express in words.

The desire to create has been a natural part of Nikol’s identity since childhood. However, she turned fully to abstract painting during a period of personal searching and exploration of inner feelings and experiences. It was then that painting became a language for her – a means through which she can capture the inner tension and variability of human existence.

She draws inspiration mainly from her own life and the world around her. Natural processes, the universe, the energy of movement, and opposites – reflected not only in the surrounding world but also in human emotions and relationships – play a significant role.

Her work is a process – a dialogue between intuition and gesture, between surrender and conscious decision. Each painting is thus both a map of her inner space and an open space for the viewer, who can perceive, discover, and experience their own associations.
